President’s Report for the Hervey Bay Women’s Shed
Hello everyone! I’m excited to share what we’ve been up to at the Hervey Bay Women’s Shed.
Our committee’s been working hard behind the scenes, and it’s been fantastic to see everything come together.We’re thrilled about the success of our weekend workshops, which have brought together women from all walks of life.
To keep things fresh and engaging, we’ve got two new subcommittees: one focusing on craft and the other on timber. These groups have really helped us expand our offerings and make sure there’s something for everyone.

We’re also working closely with the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, lending a hand on some of their projects. Plus, we’re looking forward to building even more connections with other local women’s groups, strengthening our community network.
In the coming months, we’ll also be partnering with the Australian Business Volunteers group. They’ll be helping us shape a strategic plan, which is going to help us focus on where we want to head and streamline what we do.
At the end of the day, everything we do is about creating a welcoming, safe space for the women of Hervey Bay. We want to help everyone build skills, boost confidence, and support each other along the way.
